Sterne Mills Bridge and the River Calder, Copley

The River Calder is an inland waterway running from the hills above Todmorden, through the Calder Valley and finally in to the River Aire near Castleford. This section pictured runs through Copley Valley, near Halifax, Sterne Mill Bridge was built to replace the much older and listed original single track bridge here to unlock land on both sides of the river for development.
