Stone Pinnacle at Heptonstall Church

14th January 2024
Heptonstall is unique for a such a small village, it features 3 churches all within the traditional boundaries of the settlement, 2 of which sit in the same churchyard. The churches of St Thomas the Apostle and St Thomas a Becket share the same grounds, the pinnacle pictured once stood atop the tower of the new church until hit by a lightening strike on the 5th April 1875. I took this picture in July 2020 with a Nikon d3300. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
