Lord Nelson Inn, Luddenden

Built in the 17th Century as a house, the Lord Nelson can be found on the High Street in the Village of Luddenden, West Yorkshire. When opened it was called the White Swan but changed it's name after the Battle of Trafalgar as a tribute to Lord Nelson and has been known by this name since. Branwell Bronte brother of the famous sisters was a regular here when he worked at the nearby Luddendenfoot Railway Station, the pub has also be used for church services when the nearby St Mary's has been unavailable.
