A Snicket in Slaithwaite
9 Views
2nd December 2023
I took this around the Slaithwaite Railway Station, Nr Huddersfield in August 2020 with a Nikon d3300. Slaithwaite originally had a station from 1849 until 1968 before this closed. The current 2 platform stop was opened on the Huddersfield Line in December 1982, Platform 1 for trains to Huddersfield being on the site of the original 4 line - platform station, platform 2 now occupying a spot further west on the site of the stations former goods yard. The steps lead away from the entrance to Platform 1 to an area of housing known as Bank Top overlooking the stop. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
