All Souls Church, Halifax

9th February 2024
All Souls is a redundant Anglican Church in the Haley Hill area of Halifax, West Yorkshire. Built by Edward Akroyd the church opened to worship in November 1859 and remained in use until the 1970's when costly repairs were needed that forced it's closure and almost saw the building demolished. The building is now managed by the churches conservation trust and is occasionally opened to the public. The spire is the 2nd tallest in Yorkshire after Wakefield Cathedral at 236ft. I took this picture in June 2014 with a Polaroid is2132. More info at http://www.colingreenphotography.co.uk/2022/04/all-souls-church-new-clickasnap-uploads.html
