John Edward Wainhouse Water Trough, Halifax
12 Views
9th February 2024
Taken at the top of Washer Lane and the Junction of Edwards Road, unusually the trough was exposed normally it has cars parked in front of it, the trough used to water livestock but has been bricked up for as long as I can remember. The initials J.E.W above the trough stand for a John Edward Wainhouse a local businessman in the Victorian era and I believe the date is from when the trough was unveiled. I took this picture on the 21st June 2013 with a Nikon d3300. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
