Built as a house in the 16th Century, the Old Cock became an public house in 1668 and is thought to be amongst the oldest still in use throughout Calderdale. The place was a popular meeting spot for the Cragg Vale Coiners gang and was where the meeting was held to agree the formation of the Halifax Building Society. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
