Village Stocks and Flowers at Cross Stone (St Pauls) Church, Todmorden

A church or chapel has stood on the site of St Paul's Church, Cross Stones since 1450. The current structure was built in between 1832-35 and stands on a prominent hillside position overlooking the town of Todmorden and the Calder Valley. The building was deemed unsafe and redundant in the late 1970's and the church was closed. I am told it is now a private house but when I visited the building seemed closed off and unused.
