Square Church Spire and Halifax Central Library

I took this picture in May 2018 with a Nikon d3300, Square Church Spire is all that remains of Square Church and is now part of the Halifax Central Library Building. Square Congregational Church opened in 1857 and remained in use until 1970, the main building being destroyed by fire in January 1971 and demolished in 1976. The former church grounds and main building were to be the site of the New Halifax Central Library when work commenced in 2015, the spire and former church rose window forming part of the libraries architecture. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
