Halifax Railway Station moved to it's current location on the 7th August 1850 from the previous terminus at Shaw Syke, this was due to the new line connecting with Bradford opening. The station featured temporary building before permanent buildings were completed and opened in June 1855. A much bigger station in it's heyday featuring several platform it now only has 2 served by an island platform reached by an over bridge. There are plans to refurbish the station at a cost of over £30million which will see improved access and facilities. I took this picture in October 2017 with a Nikon d3300. The 1855 building is Grade II listed and was part of the Eureka Children's Musem, i believe their may be plans to bring the building and adjacent platform back in to rail passenger use and with the refurbishment. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
