Halifax Railway Station from Beacon Hill

Halifax Railway Station from Beacon Hill, I took this in June 2014 with a Polaroid is2132. Halifax Railway Station's island platform can be see in the centre with the now disused signal box to the right. The stations connecting bridge is under threat of demolition and used to pass over several island platforms at the station. The tunnel underneath the station used to allow access to the Halifax Branch Canal wharf, this was bought by Rowntree Mackintosh's to allow expansion after the canal closed, the chocolate factory and chimney still visible. The Eureka children's museum is above the station to the left. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
