Todmorden Town Hall

Todmorden Town Hall was opened in 1875 by architect John Gibson and built in a neoclassical style. The building straddles Walsden Water, the historic boundary between Lancashire and Yorkshire until the boundary was moved in January 1888. The building is Grade I Listed and still used for town council meetings, there is also a ballroom where for a time it was possible to start a dance in Yorkshire and finish it in Lancashire because of its administrative position. I took this picture in April 2017 with a Nikon d3300. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
