Hollins Mill Weir and River Calder, Sowerby Bridge
19 Views
29th October 2024
Taken in September 2017 with a Nikon d3300 Camera, Dixon Scar Woods is a woodland that climbs up the Sowerby Hillside from the River Calder at the Hollins Mill area of Sowerby Bridge. The picture was taken as part of a set whilst walking the woodland and the river bank from Hollins Mill to Tenterfields. The weir which used to power the mills occupying the nearby site was badly damaged in the 2015 Calder Valley Boxing Day floods. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
