Dixon Scar Woods and the Rochdale Canal Towards Sowerby Bridge

Taken using a Samsung Galaxy Tablet in December 2013, Dixon Scar Woods is a wooded area of hillside that rises up from the River Calder at the valley bottom to Sowerby Bridge Cemetery. Running through the hillside is the Sowerby Railway Tunnel also known as Dixy or Cemetery Tunnel. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
