Overgrown Horse Trough, Luddenden

Built in a time before motor vehicles, stone horse troughs were put around the districts of many towns and villages for horses, dogs and in some instances cattle. Most have now been removed or like in the case of the one at the bottom of Stocks Lane, Luddenden been left to nature to reclaim the water storage area. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
