Back O'th Heights Bridge at Baitings Dam

Baitings Dam is a reservoir in the Ryburn Valley a few miles west of Halifax, east of Rochdale. Every couple of years the water level drops low enough for the original packhorse bridge over the River Ryburn to emerge from the watery depths. I took these pictures early morning as the sun was rising. The waters usual depth can be seen by the tide marks just under the road of the new bridge. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
