A Snicket in Halifax 2022

A Snicket in Halifax was a photograph taken by Bill Brandt in 1937, some 85 years later and in the area of North Bridge, Halifax that the original was taken in I thought i'd attempt my own version of the picture. This picture was taken by me on the morning of 3 July 2022. The area has changed a lot since the original, back then the area to the right of the snicket wall was Halifax North Bridge Railway Station, and to the left and beyond the slope were Dean Clough Mills then home to Crossley's Carpets and the biggest carpet mill in the world for a time. Sadly at the time it was dry so I couldn't capture the wet look he did. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
