Woodland Steps At Staups Mill

29th October 2024
These steps would have provided the route many mill workers would have walked when employed at Staups Mill. Built in the late 18th Century as Starling Mill and powered by the nearby Jumble Hole Clough the building was a cotton and weaving mill. In 1896 a nearby dam burst and damaged the mill, the remains are all that can be seen now. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
