Bingley Five Rise Locks

Taken on the 9th July 2016 whilst walking a short stretch of the Leeds - Liverpool Canal between Bridge 199 and the Bingley Five Rise Locks. The Bingley Five Rise Locks are the steepest canal locks in the United Kingdom raising 59.2 feet in just 320 feet. It was opened on the 21st March 1774 and the first boat to navigate the locks took 28 minutes. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
