Water Tributary at Baitings Reservoir
5 Views
28th August 2023
I took this picture on the 24th September 2022 with a Nikon d3300. Baitings Reservoir had been featured numerous times in the press prior to this date due to it's lowest level in many years. I had been going back regularly for a few weeks in the hope that levels would be low enough to see if anything was still left of the footbridge that used to cross the stream that now feeds Baitings Reservoir. The levels never got that low but the old packhorse bridge and sluice gate for the original low level dam became visible the sluice gate for the first time in many years. Growing up around here the level usually dropped low enough for the packhorse bridge to be visible once every decade, this has become an almost annual event now. The rains arrived a few days after this picture and the dam soon filled up again. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
