River Calder at Copley

10th September 2023
The River Calder is an inland waterway running from the hills above Todmorden, through the Calder Valley and finally in to the River Aire near Castleford. This section pictured runs through the village of Copley, near Halifax, the stone wall to the left was once part of Copley Mill and there was a weir connected to it nearby. The mill was demolished in 1974 and the site is now occupied by housing. I took this picture in March 2015 with a Polaroid is2132 camera. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
