Spen Valley Greenway Whitcliffe Road Bridge on the Spen Valley Greenway

Taken on the Spen Valley Greenway between Low Moor and the M62. The Spen Valley Greenway is a cycling and pedestrian route linking Low Moor with Dewsbury through the Spen Valley along the former trackbed of a railway. The line passed through Low Moor, Cleckheaton, Liversedge, Heckmondwike before splitting towards Dewsbury and Mirfield and closed to passengers in 1965, before complete closure in the 1980's. I took this picture whilst walking the route in December 2019 with a Nikon d3300. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
