The River Calder and St Michaels Church, Mytholmroyd
31 Views
8th October 2023
St Michaels Church is an Anglican place of worship serving the village of Mytholmroyd, West Yorkshire since 1848. It was constructed as part of the million pound act, a scheme to build churches in growing areas after a period of no new churches being constructed since the reign of Queen Anne which ended in 1714.
The buildings to the left of the River Calder were demolished after the 2015 Boxing Day Floods damaged them beyond repair, the area is now open to Burnley Road.
I took this picture in October 2013 with a Samsung Galaxy Tablet, I did replace the sky as the original one was completely washed out and lifeless. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
