Ribblehead Viaduct, Taken in August 1976

The Ribblehead Viaduct also known as the Batty Moss Viaduct is a 24 arch 400 metre long crossing over Batty Moss. Opened on the 3rd August 1875 it carries the Settle to Carlisle Railway and is probably one of the most famous structures on the line. This picture is a vintage picture taken of the viaduct in August 1976 from the station side of the viaduct. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
