Lock 1 on the Rochdale Canal, Sowerby Bridge

I took this in July 2017 whilst taking a walk around Sowerby Bridge Canal Basin from Tuel Lane Tunnel to Chain Bridge along the Rochdale Canal and back along the opposite tow path of the Calder & Hebble Navigation to Number 1 Warehouse. Lock number 1 is sometimes known as Sowerby Bridge Lower, it is the first of 91 locks that the canal passes through on it's journey from Sowerby Bridge to Manchester. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
