The Church of St Thomas a' Beckett occupies the same churchyard as it's replacement the Church of St Thomas the Apostle at Heptonstall, West Yorkshire. Built in the 13th Century between 1256 and 1260 the church was badly damaged by a storm in 1847 when the roof was torn off and the tower badly damaged. The decision was made to build a new church a short distance away which opened in 1854. The old church is still used on occasion for open air services. I took this on the 19th November 2016 with a Nikon d3300. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
