This photo was taken in Deauville in Normandy, France in September. It was completely random shot, and I love the light and the atmosphere. It was exactly like this in that moment.

Deauville is considered one of the most prestigious seaside towns in France, located on the Côte Fleurie, just like Trouville and Honfleur. In the hinterland, the seaside countryside abounds with half-timbered houses, thatched cottages, in the middle of green pastures and trees.
The famous seaside promenade, called "Les Planches" - with several bars and restaurants - stretches over 653 meters. It is lined with bathing cabins dating from the 1920s, each bearing the name of one of the Hollywood movie stars who came to the American Film Festival of Deauville.

(Old Photo) A breakfast and event room with a refined and luxurious design stands out for its elegance and attention to detail. The tables are impeccably set, covered with fine white tablecloths, while the chairs, also covered in white, have a soft and sophisticated finish, with bows or details that harmonize with the surroundings.

The ceiling is adorned with sparkling golden lamps, whose crystals capture the light and reflect it in a soft glow that fills the space with warmth and sophistication. The walls can be decorated with minimalist details or ornate panels that add a touch of majesty to the place. This environment, illuminated by a warm and soft light, creates an ideal space for quiet breakfasts or formal events that inspire exclusivity and charm.

In all of Sweden, Lussekatter (or Luce-cats) is eaten in December and until Christmas. The tradition of baking saffron bread in various forms came to Sweden from Germany in the 18th century. Then we started using yeast in the sweet wheat dough, and with the precious saffron spice, the fluffy cat got both its taste and golden yellow color. The shape of the bread often had its origins in ancient designs. Many landscapes had their own figures and names. Some are inspired by life on the farm, such as kuse (horse) and boar (pig). The name Lussecat (Luce-cat) is much older than the tradition of celebrating Lucia and refers to the fact that the yellow saffron color was considered to protect against Lucifer, the evil one, who, according to folklore, sometimes appeared in the form of a cat. I bake a traditional variant every year (in various shapes) but also this variant filled with vanillabutter (kids favourite).
